Fall Lineup

          The fall lineup for 2010 looks like a very solid lineup that will most likely have multiple shows with success, one show that really hits it out of the park, and a show that will eventually drop out of the lineup. ABC, NBC, CBS, and FOX have been television stations that are known to release great shows every year. I have a strong sense that CBS's new show, "Blue Bloods" will be a show that really brings in the numbers in this lineup. At the same time I feel that ABC's "Better With You", will be the show that bombs and eventually stops airing hoping no one will notice.
          CBS's new show, "Blue Bloods" seems to me that it is going be the kind of show that will really make viewers want to tune in and watch every episode. The cast of this movie seems really strong and a lot of the actors are put into positions that flow really well. Tom Selleck is a very well known actor and he will be playing the main character in this television show. He has starred in a cop show known as "Boston Legal," and that TV show won 1 Golden Globe Award and also won 5 Emmy Awards. This shows that this show was a huge success and at the same time it had a five-year run time. Another reason I think this show will rise above all the other shows is the fact that I think it has a very interesting story line. I know that there are a lot of TV shows in existence that have a cop-like story line, but I have a feeling that this show is going to have a very interesting story line for that fact that it is also a father-son aspect to it. The actor that is playing as Tom Sellecks eldest son is Donnie Wahlberg, another very well known actor. The only reason I can see this show failing is because of the fact that the story-line is somewhat similar to those of many other cop-shows.
          One of ABC's new shows, "Better With You", I feel will take the cake for eventually dropping off air. One of the reasons that I believe this show will be a failure is because of the fact that it seems like it has a somewhat corny story-line. It seems like one of those shows that is gonna have a corny falling in love kind of show. Most of the actors in this show I have never heard of and the ones that I have heard of I think they are good actors, but not superb out of this world actors. Even though Debra Jo Rupp is part of the role, I believe that she is not good enough to make up for the other actors that don't have as much experience as her. She has been on That 70's Show for longer than I can remember. Other actors such as Jake Lacy, doesn't have near as much experience as the other actors in this show. Another actor, Jennifer Finnigan has a lot of TV experience but not with these kind of shows. In the end I believe that this show will eventually magically fall off the face of the earth.
          This is what I feel will happen with these two shows when the new fall lineup for the 2010 season begins. "Blue Bloods" that will be airing on CBS September 24 at 10 P.M. I believe is gonna be a huge hit and overall bring in the most views. "Better With You" is gonna be the new show that airs on ABC will be the show that doesn't succeed and eventually stops airing. Only time will tell.
